One letter was withdrawn ahead of the hearing leaving one objection remaining. The committee quickly determined the objection from Alfold Parish Council was groundless and granted consent.
Jamie McAllister, Event Director comments: “We are pleased the license committee recognised that Wings & Wheels is an established event with an excellent track record and granted us consent for an alcohol licence. The airshow is now in its sixth year and has so far raised over £200k for charities including the Surrey Air Ambulance and Help for Heroes. This year, with the show now taking place over two days, we hope to raise even more funds and are looking forward to staging another opportunity for a fantastic family day out.”
The two day show is being held over the August Bank Holiday, Sunday 29th and Monday 30th August, at Dunsfold Park near Guildford, Surrey and is open to spectators from 9.00 to 18.00.
Attracting phenomenal crowds of over 25,000 in 2009 with some of the finest aircraft and motoring displays in the UK, Wings & Wheels is not just an Airshow, it’s an exciting weekend of family entertainment.
