The ‘wheels’ at Wings & Wheels is unique to our event. With the
support of Brooklands Museum, the Show has an assortment of motoring
icons, including Aston Martins, Ferraris, Jaguars, AC Cobras, Lotuses,
Porsches, TVRs and the McLaren Mercedes SLR, all of which race up and
down the runway in a breathtaking display of power.
From up and down the country, Car Clubs come in groups to display their
lovingly restored cars in our static display. Cars include American hot
rods, classic Mercedes, Minis, vintage buses, Capris, VW’s, Subaru’s,
Morris Minors and Mustangs to name but a few. It’s quite an eclectic
collection but has something for everyone.
New for 2010 is the introduction of a static motorbike display.
Motorbike clubs are invited to attend the Show by participating in the
central arena display.
The 'wheels' of the Show would not be complete without the Military
Vehicles. We welcome over 80 vehicles to the Show in a static display
and runway demonstration.
More information and how to participate in the 'wheels' at Wings
& Wheels can be found by clicking on the headings below.
Brooklands Motoring Display
Brooklands Museum has organised the ‘wheels’ demonstration of Wings & Wheels since 2005. The Show consists of a number of non-competitive motor car and motorcycle demonstrations and parades.
It is run under similar event rules to the MSA and ACU rules for vehicle parades, but is not run under a permit or exemption certificate from either MSA or ACU.
Entries are invited for cars and motorcycles which embody the “Spirit of Brooklands” – powerful, fast, pre-1939 vehicles or more modern supercars and bikes. Entries are limited and Brooklands will, therefore, make their selection on the basis of the most appropriate vehicles.
Please be aware that it is unlikely that there will be places for vehicles which cannot exceed 80mph on the runway, and preference will be given to vehicles with competition history and/or are presented in competition trim.
For more information or to apply for the demonstration please click here or contact Allan Winn or Neil Sinclair at Brooklands Museum on 01932 857381 or e-mail:
